Window Tint Darkness Chart

Window tint darkness is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). For example, 20% darkness means that 20% of the light is let thru while the remaining 80% is blocked by the tint.

Most factory tinted cars have 20% darkness, so this is the darkness we recommend. But remember to check your lokal rules and regulations to find the maximum darkness allowed in your area.

50 Percentage Darkness Almost no darkness at all.
35 Percentage Darkness Make the windows darker, but you can easily see thru.
20 Percentage Darkness The most common darkness used on factory tinted cars. You can see thru from up close, but itís very hard.
5 Percentage Darkness The limo darkness. Impossible to see thru from the outside.
